Yes! Oor Kinaru coconut oil is ideal for all types of cooking — from sautéing and seasoning to deep frying traditional South Indian recipes. Its high smoke point and natural aroma make it perfect for daily use.
Every batch of Oor Kinaru oil is lab-tested and certified. You can also check for natural sedimentation at the bottom — that's a sign of unrefined, chemical-free oil. Pure oil also has a rich, authentic aroma you won't find in refined oils.
Many people, including seniors, consume a small spoon of cold pressed coconut oil on an empty stomach as part of a traditional wellness routine. Since our oil is 100% pure and chemical-free, it is safe for this use. However, we always recommend consulting a doctor for specific health conditions.
We currently accept online payments only — UPI, credit/debit cards, and net banking. We have priority dispatch, so orders are handed to the courier the same day and you typically receive your delivery the very next day.
We sun-dry the ingredients for 8–10 days before pressing and bottling, which naturally extends shelf life. Stored properly in a cool, dry place, the oil stays fresh for up to 12 months. Always check the best-before date on the bottle.
We use food-grade PET bottles — not the low-quality plastic you find in local markets. PET is the same material used for export-quality packaging and is safe, BPA-tested, and approved for edible oils.
Wood pressing (marachekku) is the traditional method where oil is extracted slowly using a wooden press — it naturally stays below 40°C. Cold pressing is the modern term for any extraction done below 40°C. All Oor Kinaru oils are both wood pressed AND cold pressed — the best of both traditional and certified methods.
