We'd love to share our story with you!
Oorkinaru began with a simple insight: families today are searching for clean, chemical-free products, yet many are disappointed to discover that several established brands mix their oils with mineral or palm oils.
The founder of Oorkinaru, an alumnus of NIT and IIM, started this journey with a vision to reconnect people with truly natural food products. After years of seeing how modern processing strips away nutrition and authenticity, the goal was simple: bring back pure, traditionally extracted oils while supporting the local ecosystem that produces them.
Today, we work closely with local farmers and traditional mill owners across Tamil Nadu to bring you three signature oils — Coconut Oil, cold-pressed from sun-dried copra for natural aroma and purity; Groundnut Oil, wood-pressed from farm-fresh peanuts for a rich, nutty flavor perfect for everyday cooking; and Gingelly/Sesame Oil, traditionally extracted to preserve its deep antioxidant richness and authentic toasty aroma. Every bottle carries the taste of honest, traceable craftsmanship.
Everything we do comes back to these four principles
No chemicals, no preservatives, no shortcuts. Just pure oil exactly as nature intended — nothing added, nothing removed.
We work directly with local farmers, ensuring fair pay, sustainable practices, and fully traceable sourcing from farm to bottle.
Cold-pressed using wooden chekku mills — the same slow, gentle method our grandparents used. No heat. No chemicals.
Know exactly where your oil comes from. We openly share our farm partners, mill locations, and production details.

Yes! Marachekku and Cold Pressed are the same thing — just two names for the traditional wooden press method used in Tamil Nadu.
Absolutely. Our oils are lab tested and contain zero sulphur, preservatives, or additives. Only pure oil — nothing else.
We use 100% traditional wood chekku mills. Steel machines generate heat which destroys nutrients — we never use them.
Our oils stay fresh for 6 months. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. No refrigeration needed.
